Nice episode, again! House rule suggestion for Surge : look at the top 3 encounter cards, choose 1 and discard the others.
Agree about surge and these insane encounter decks… surge is encounter card power creep basically, just like Outlands is awful, those encounter decks like To Catch an Orc are awful.
Can someone explain the joke about banning Steward of Gondor?
I thought the comment that Surge is the encounter deck’s card advantage was pretty insightful, but I also think we should have more ways to counter it.
Minas Tirith Lampwright is not a good card, and a high cost ally or even a hero we could exhaust to ignore the Surge keyword seems reasonable.
